I live in a Cape Cod Cottage style brick home built in 1931. My husband and I are both Pacific Northwesterners, and we settled here in the state of Oregon, about an hour’s drive from the coast with our two fat orange cats, and four ducks.
At risk of sounding pretentious, what I’d like to achieve here is to a sort of modern Tasha Tudor or Beatrix Potter (sadly, without the art skills). I don’t have any intention of spending my days in full dresses, or eschewing my robot vacuum, but I would like to find and share ways that we can all slow down and enjoy nature, create beauty in our homes and gardens, and grow more of what we eat.
I am passionate about combining the beautiful and the practical and I truly believe that our homes should be beautiful reflections of our own peaceful state of mind.
